Paul Corfield - Coastal View

COASTAL VIEW

This is another view of Ballard Down, this time from Studland Beach and based upon some of my own studies from last summer. The chalk cliffs terminate in chalk pillars eroded by the sea and these are known as ‘Old Harry Rocks’, and one of the chalk pillars is called ‘Old Harry’s Wife.’ I’ve changed them slightly for this composition, plus in real life the sun would be setting behind the viewer and there aren’t any buildings on Ballard Down itself.
